Two back to back earthquakes hit Manipur on Monday (26th May, 2020). The first tremor was felt at around 08:13 pm. The time period between the two earthquakes was about 13 minutes.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the first earthquake measured 5.5 on Richter Scale. It had its epicentre at around 13 kilometers south-west of Moirang Town in Bishnapur District. The second tremor measured 2.6 on Richter Scale, and had its epicentre in the same town.
According to sources, there is no casualty or damage to property, reported so far. Stay tuned for further updates.
