Tushar Jalan takes charge of 8 North eastern states as ROTARACT HEAD

Tuesday, 14th July, 2020 : The Rotaract District 3240 installation ceremony was conducted on a virtual platform on Sunday, (12th July, 2020) as Tushar Jalan took oath as the head of 8 NE states and some parts of West Bengal. The virtual ceremony was attended by 300 delegates from around the world such as USA, Mexico, Mauritius, Indonesia, and other South Asian countries as well. This marks the first time that an installation ceremony of Rotaract was conducted online due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Tushar Jalan hails from Rotaract club of Guwahati Luit which conducted the virtual swearing-in ceremony “Pratishthan”.Mr. Jalan, originally from Guwahati, is an alumni of Don Bosco School, Panbazar, Marias Public School, Faculty Amingaon & JGI Group Bangalore.

The virtual ceremony had chief guests such as Subhasish Chatterjee, District Governor of RID 3240, Dr. Bharat Pandya – Treasurer and Director of Rotary International, Chandu Agarwal – Chief Advior and others.

Apart from Tushar Jalan, Amit More from Tinsukia, Rajarshi Sinha from Silchar and Homnath Dhungel from Gangtok also took oath as District Secretary. The team will govern the during the period 2020-21

The entire virtual ceremony was successfully hosted by Rtr. Suhan Ahmed Swapnil from Silchar club, stated Rtr. Rtn. Akash Jain in a press release.
