On Monday, Silchar police station recieved secret information about illegal narcotics present in the city. Based on the information, the staff of Silchar Police Station, headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cachar and the Officer in Charge of Silchar Police Station, conducted a search at a house, located in Jogesh Road, Tarapur at around 2 PM.
The narcotics detection dog of the police played a major role in this search, and the police recovered 174 grams of suspected heroin, along with 185 small plastic containers, a manual weighing scale, 30 suspected narcotic capsules and ₹850 in cash.
Based on the items recovered in the search of the said house, a case has been registered at Silchar Police Station, and further investigations are on.
