Kamalendu Bhattacharjee awarded with a lifetime achievement award by Leo Club of Silchar Central.

The birth date of the second President of India, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, (5th September) is celebrated as the Teachers’ day in India. On the occasion of Teacher’s day, The Leo Club of Silchar Central thought of honouring a teacher with a lifetime achievement award this year.

The “Most deserving Teacher of the town”, Sri Kamalendu Bhattacharjee, was awarded with the lifetime achievement award. “A dedicated teacher who does not consider old age as a barrier. He is 76 and still teaches students from all age groups.”

Kamalendu Bhattacharjee is one such reputed teacher in the valley, who is known and respected by many students. He is an omniscient, who has knowledge about anything and everything, who has a lot of experience in the teaching profession.

When asked about what qualities a teacher should possess and what makes a good teacher the best one, he replied as, “A good teacher,explains; a very good teacher demonstrates; and the best teacher, inspires!”

When asked about a message for the younger generation, he advised all the students to run after real education and not mere certificates.
