With the intention to address the many unanswered mass grievances, a programme under the name “Abhijog Pratikaar” had been lauched by the DC of Cachar, IAS Smt. Keerthi Jalli. The Cachar Administration’s facebook page informed it on Friday (19th June, 2020)
Upholding the theory of Public Grievance Day, Abhijog Pratikaar will be conducted with a series of hearing sessions, every Friday lasting over a period of two hours commencing from 10:00 am. While addressing to the complaints of the public, the presence of heads of all line departments will also be ensured inorder to expect rapid responses. Jalli added that this would not only mitigate the mass inconvenience but also provide a platform resulting in convergence of the works of different departments promising the common good is served and homogeneously distributed.
For instance, Jalli suggested on the cleaning of the PHE water supply scheme from the Anuwa Beel while containing the excessive growth of hyacinths by implementation of MNGREGA. She also ensured that the work progress of respective departments will also be monitored in real time by using several Google tools, taking a step forward in delivery of good governance.
