Assam Fisheries, Excise, Forest and Environment minister Parimal Suklabaidya on tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed road in his Dholai Assembly Constituency.
The 17.400 km long road has been improved and widened with a project cost of Rs 33.43cr under Central road fund for the year 2016-17.
The improvement of this road will save time and will be helpful for the people of Derby, Paloi, Palonghat, Dholai and nearby areas of Silchar.
In this regard, a public gathering programme was organized at the Puthikhal point under Puthikhal Gaon Panchayat in Dholai Constituency which hosted by Minister Parimal Suklabaidya.
During the inaugural ceremony Minister Parimal Suklabaidya Said“Our government has been committed to developing the rural road infrastructure of the state and during the last four years we have constructed many roads in Dholai Constituency,”.
“The Paloi-Derby-Borjalenga road project completion is a dream come true initiative & a blessing for Dholai. Our government completed this massive 17km road in an impressive fast time frame prioritising the #SabkaSaathSabkaVikas policy of our govt”. Minister further said in his Twitter account.
The inauguration function was attended by Additional Chief Engineer PWRD Barak Valley Bijoy Kr Sharma,Akbar Hussain Mazumder Executive Engineer PWRD Dholai & Sonai Territorial road Division Dholai,Binod Singhi director of Shree Gautam Construction Company Limited, Madhya Dholai ZPM Shashanka Chandra Paul,West Dholai ZPM Lakshmi Rani Yadav, District Media Incharge Mohitosh Tanti, Narsinghpur Block Mandal BJP General Secretary Kamalesh Das,Borjalenga Block Anchalik Panchayat President Subudh Das and other dignitaries.
