Inter-district movement barred in Assam

As the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Assam mostly due to the travel and movement of individuals all over the state, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority on a press release stated that, all inter-district movement of individuals will be strictly barred and this order will come into effect from 22nd July, 2020 until furthur orders.

For medical and last rite emergencies movement will be allowed only with the written permission from the Deputy Commissioner of the originating district.

Movement of goods vehicles and essential products will remain uninterrupted.

The order from the State District Management Authority does not include exemptions detailed in order number ASDMA 24/2020/Part-1/92 dated 18th July 2020.
