In an electrifying turn of events, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found by the 3 Garhwal Rifles personnel of the Indian Army at Bagapani in Assam’s Tinsukia region, around 2 kilometers from Digboi, on Wednesday (3rd June, 2020). The bomb disposal team of Army has effectively diffused the IED. After the disclosure of the dangerous gadget, armed force personnel arrived at the area and cordoned off the region from the two sides. Afterward, a group of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was additionally hurried to the site. Around 12 pm, a bomb dispersion crew arrived at the area from Dinjan and exploded the IED.
According to sources, the revelation of the explosive caused significant traffic clog in the territory, prompting extraordinary burden for local people. The revelation of the gadget prompted a circumstance of frenzy in the region, and armed force staff educated that they have propelled an examination concerning the issue.
“In the first part of the day we got data that a presumed IED was found by the 3 Garhwal Unit of the Indian Army. The 3 Garhwal Unit had cordoned off the territory, and we cordoned the external region with the goal that the development of regular citizens was stopped. At around 12:45 am, the 3-kilogram gauging IED was annihilated and according to data, no losses or harms have been accounted for”, said Kuldeep Chaudhry, a CRPF jawan who was a part of the operation.
