Assam Excise, Fisheries, Forest and Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Thursday paid an extensive inspection visit to the areas of Tulartol, Baghewala, Singua & Lailapur bordering the Assam-Mizoram lines.
During his visit, he was accompanied by various locals, Gaon Panchayat members and police officials. On the day, Minister Suklabaidya interacted with the citizens of the above areas to take stock of their difficulties due to the border disputes.
After that, he also inspected the new border outposts (BOP) that have been set up in the Singua.He also assured of setting up two more BOPs in the areas of Tulartol & Baghewala as desired by the locals. During this important visit,he also spoke to the cops deployed in the BOP & local police stations & directed them to be vigilant in preventing any new incidents of violence.
Minister also informed the locals that he is in continuous touch with the senior police officials regarding the line of incidents and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has also assured of all possible support for the safety & security of the people of the region.
