Assam DGP, Chief Secretary, Silchar MP and Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya visit Assam-Mizoram border amid tensions

As per the high Instruction from Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal Fisheries, Excise, Forest and Environment Minister accompanied by Chief Secretary of Assam Jishnu Baruah, Director General Of Police(DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta rushed to Lailapur.

Chief Secretary met the father of deceased and he was joined by Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy, Cachar Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli,IAS, and other police officials.

The Minister urged the local people not to panic unnecessarily, and said that the government is making all-out efforts to resolve the Assam-Mizoram boundary dispute. He also expressed his sincere gratitude towards the people of Lailapur for extending all cooperation & maintaining peace & patience despite rising tensions.

“We are putting in all efforts to come to a firm solution of peace & integrity to this region” Minister said.
