Chadwick Aaron Boseman , an American actor who was best known for his role of “King T’Challa” or “Black Panther” has died at the age of 43 while battling with colon cancer. He died at his residence with his wife and family by his side.
This news has sent a shock wave throughout the world with greatly affecting his fans.
Surprisingly “The King” never publicly opened about him being diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and his battle with the cancer for the last 4 years as it “progressed to stage IV”.
“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much, From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more – all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy”, said his family in a statement.
Boseman rose to fame after playing real life figure of baseball great Jackie Robinson in 42 but he will be best remembered for his role of the superhero “Black Panther” in the 2018 blockbuster. Black Panther was the first superhero film to get a nomination for best picture at the Oscars and last year said, he said that the film had changed what it means to be “young, gifted and black”. “It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther”, reads the tweet by his family.
All the marvel fans mourned for this “great loss” as marvel studios write, “Our hearts are broken and our thoughts are with Chadwick Boseman’s family. Your legacy will live on forever. Rest in peace.”
