7 years of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani : Shanku Sharma

Hindi film industry’s much-loved and adored film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was released on May 31 in the year 2013. Seven years hence, it is still as fresh as a flower. Ayan Mukerji shot into limelight with Wake Up Sid (2009), featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was his second film. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, a romantic-drama featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur, taught its audience love, friendship, life, career and above all godliness. From its opening shots to its end, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is full of life, love and friendliness. Ayan Mukerji took his audience on a roller-coaster ride. The film was produced by Karan Johar had hit the screens on May 31, 2013. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. It was co-produced by Apoorva Mehta and UTV Motion Pictures and written by Hussain Dalal based on a story by Ayan Mukerji. Lovely shots, lovely moments, funny moments, wonderful dialogues, melodious and peppy songs, memories to cherish, and above all a happy ending, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was all about life’s beautiful and subtle moments. The film lives on as it steps into its seventh year. People returned home with smiles on their lips, after all the film ends with ‘Deepika in Ranbir’s arms’ (and they lived happily ever after). Songs? Well, can you forget Kabira? Subhanallah? Ilahi? Dilli Wali Girlfriend? Battameez Dil? Balam Pichkari? Most of the sons of the films became anthems. Music was composed by Pritam Chakraborty, and lyrics of the songs were penned by Kumaar and Amitabh Bhattacharya. Movie mogul Karan Johar, on Sunday today), took to his Twitter handle, and recalled the memories attached with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. He tweeted: ‘It’s been 7whole years since this gang of friends came into our lives & taught us all about friendship and love. A movie still so relevant for all generations!!♥
