Sahajjyer Haath, a social welfare wing of Sarbabharatiya Sylethi Forum Trust, donates a hundred litre water filter and five black boards to Sarbodoy Vidyalaya at Malugram, Silchar on Sunday, February 27. These were handed over to the president of Sarbodoy Trust Mr. Bhaskar Dutta.


Sarbodoy Vidyalaya at Malugram, was established by late freedom fighter Sachindra Mohan Dutta (Lakhu da). Mr. Dutta's lecture regarding Lakhu da's life and accomplishments enlightened everyone present at this event. He also mentioned that during the establishment of this school, how, in answer to Laku Da's plea, the great Mother Teresa came to Silchar, which was a once-in-a-lifetime event for the valley. He expressed his gratitude for the teachers' tireless and selfless efforts.


Treasurer Ashok Kumar Deb and Mr. Atanu Choudhury gave a brief overview of how, despite all difficulties, the Sarbodoy Trust is working for the welfare of the school and its students with full determination. The mission of Sahajjyer Haath were also explained by Mr. Ratnadeep Das, president of the Sarbabharatiya Sylheti Forum Trust. He promised that their team will continue to be of assistance to the school's overall development in the future. Mr. Paritosh Bhattacharjee and Mr. Pijush Deb Roy, two active forum members, used this opportunity to share their personal experiences with Late Lakhu da. 


Along with teachers and staffs of the school, the event on this day was also attended by members of NGO Sahajjyer Haath, Ratnadeep Das, Pijush Deb Roy, Paritosh Bhattacharjee, Arnab Goswami, Mitra Goswami, Soma Chakraborty, Sumita Choudhury, Sutapa Roy, Arunima Chakraborty, Aparajita Dey, Mridula Chakraborty, Aparna Paul and Doyel Bhattacharjee Paul.
