Since the onset of COVID-19 in India on 30th January, the number of active COVID-19 cases has always been higher than the number of recovered cases. However, this changed on Wednesday, when the number of recovered patients overtook the number of active COVID-19 cases for the first time in India. The total number of COVID-19 cases reached 2,76,583 on Wednesday morning. Out of these, a total of 1,35,206 have patients recovered so far, whereas there are 1,33,632 active cases as of now. 7,745 persons have passed away due to COVID-19 so far.
