Member of Parliament from Silchar Lok Sabha constituency, Dr. Rajdeep Roy has announced via Twitter that 8 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Barak Valley. 7 of these are from Karimganj, and 1 case is from Cachar. All of them are migrants or returnees from other states.
