ShopnoUran celebrates Independence Day, releases video on women’s empowerment, democracy

Members (“United Members”) of ShopnoUran, a socio-cultural organisation, especially female members from different places and wings like Kolkata, Tripura and central body ShopnoUran Barak Valley, have released a video based on the themes of women’s empowerment and democracy.

Their performances include painting, dancing, and recitation. The video presentation titled ‘Free To Fly’ along with another video featuring two junior members of ShopnoUran Sanvi Paul and Dibyangshu Das, were released.

Members who performed in ‘Free to Fly included Paramita Chakraborty, Byapti Nath, Shivangi Chakraborty, Dibyangi Chakraborty, Mahi Karmakar, Rumeli Phani, Richa Dhar, Ankita Paul, Debasmita Chakraborty, Nabanita Nath Sharma, Poushali Dutta, Sanvi Paul and Dibyangshu Das.

They also installed another wing, ‘ShopnoUran—Wings of Nagaland’.

ShopnoUran – Kolkata along with members of other wings distributed food items among the poor people under the category of ‘SSM – ShopnoUran for Seba Movement’ of Mission Pakhi of ShopnoUran. Joydeep Paul, Srija De, Shauvik Paul and Dipshikha Paul were present from the Kolkata wing. Subhajit Das, secretary of Leo Club of Silchar, donated blood for the 7th time at blood donation camp, which was organised by Lions and Leo Clubs of Silchar Greater and Silchar Centurion.
